Geotechnical Evaluation of Mine-Induced Earthquakes on Bruce Park Dam
Bowie Resources, Limited
June 2002
period generate a total of 100 magnitude 1.75 events, 20 magnitude 2.0 events, and 5
magnitude 2.5 events.
6. In our opinion movements of the amount identified in items 3 through 5 above are not
expected to cause significant threat to the integrity of the slope, reservoir, or dam.
7. In our opinion, additional monitoring of the dam and saddle dam, beyond that
required by the Office of the State Engineer for a jurisdictional dam of this size and
class is not required to address risks associated with mine-induced seismicity.
lie
•
02-03-22 Geotechnical Evaluation of Mine-Induced Earthquakes
GEI Consultants, Inc. 20
