5.0 NOXIOUS WEEDS <br />J <br />• <br />A list of noxious weeds for Moffat and Rio Blanco Counties was developed by the Colorado <br />Department of Agriculture's State Conservation Board. Of the 19 noxious weed species listed, seven <br />were encountered within the vegetation study area and reference areas (see table below). In most <br />cases, density of these noxious weeds were low and were only occasionally in sufficient quantities to be <br />detected by ground cover sampling. The one instance where quantities were elevated involved Canada <br />thistle within the wetland community.
