5.0 NOXIOUS WEEDS J • A list of noxious weeds for Moffat and Rio Blanco Counties was developed by the Colorado Department of Agriculture's State Conservation Board. Of the 19 noxious weed species listed, seven were encountered within the vegetation study area and reference areas (see table below). In most cases, density of these noxious weeds were low and were only occasionally in sufficient quantities to be detected by ground cover sampling. The one instance where quantities were elevated involved Canada thistle within the wetland community. It was the most dominant plant recorded. Noxious W d ? r0 A a ?` w A '?
