CC&V with MANAGER related recommendations and CC&V shall decide the matter with such <br />decision being final. <br />PART 4.0 DEFICIENCIES <br />When deficiencies (items that do not meet project requirements) are discovered, the CQA Monitor <br />shall immediately determine the nature and extent of the problem and notify the INSTALLER or <br />CONTRACTOR. If unsatisfactory test results identify a deficiency, additional tests will be <br />performed to define the extent of the deficient area. <br />The INSTALLER or CONTRACTOR shall correct the deficiency to the satisfaction of the CQA <br />Monitor. If the CONTRACTOR is unable to correct the problem, the CQA Monitor will notify the <br />MANAGER and CERTIFYING ENGINEER who will assist in problem resolution. If the solution <br />involves a design revision, the DESIGN ENGINEER shall also be contacted. <br />The corrected deficiency shall be retested and/or approved by the MANAGER and CERTIFYING <br />ENGINEER before any additional related work is performed by the INSTALLER or <br />CONTRACTOR. All retests and related documentation shall be recorded by the CQA Monitor and <br />included in the final Construction Certification Report. <br />PART 5.0 MEETINGS <br />This section identifies and describes the meetings to be held during the course of the construction. <br />Meetings shall be held in order to clearly define construction activities and goals in order to facilitate <br />construction. <br />5.01 PRECONSTRUCTION MEETING: <br />The MANAGER will hold a preconstruction meeting at the site prior to the start of construction. The <br />DESIGN ENGINEER, MANAGER, CERTIFYING ENGINEER, CQA Monitor, INSTALLER, <br />CONTRACTOR, and others designated by the MANAGER shall attend this meeting. The purpose <br />of this meeting will be to: <br />• review the construction DRAWINGS, CQA Plan, and project SPECIFICATIONS; <br />• define the responsibilities of each party; <br />• define lines of communication and authority; <br />• review method of documentation, testing procedures, and reporting inspection data; <br />• establish testing protocols and procedures for correcting and documenting construction <br />deficiencies; and, <br />• discuss any changes that may be needed to ensure that construction will be completed in <br />compliance with the design. <br />• This meeting will be documented by the MANAGER or his designee and copies <br />distributed to all parties. <br />5.02 PROGRESS MEETINGS: <br />The MANAGER will hold a daily progress meeting, either before the start of work or at the <br />completion of work. At a minimum, this meeting will be attended by the CQA Monitor, <br />INSTALLER and CONTRACTOR.
