Once the final mining area is completely excavated, it will take approximately 4 months to do
final backfilling, topsoil replacement from the 3 berms, seedbed preparation and final seeding
and mulching. As seen on Map F-1, the total area consists of the following:
Area I - main mine area: 29.47 acres
Area 2 - topsoil berms and roads: 7.56 acres
Area 3 - employee housing disturbed area: 2.78 acres
Total area for seeding and mulching at the end of the mine life: 39.81 acres
