Rule 3.1.6 and 7 are adequate. Operator notes no groundwater or surface water <br />interaction. On site visitation notes no observable issues. <br />Rule 3.1.8 is addressed in Exhibit H. <br />Rule 3.1.9 (1), Topsoil: Please confirm that any topsoil left in place for more than <br />180 days or one growing season will be protected from wind and water erosion <br />with the temporary seed cover proposed in the reclamation plan.. <br />Rule 3.1.10, Revegetation: <br />(1) is being addressed through the reclamation plan, <br />(2) is not applicable, <br />(3) Please commit to ensuring no livestock will be permitted on site until the <br />permit or area is released by DRMS. <br />(4) DRMS notes the preferred seed mix is for establishment of a pasture mix <br />which is consistent with the post mined land use. <br />(5) is being addressed within the mine / reclamation plan under compaction <br />issues. <br />(6) It is noted that Connell Resources has a very good proactive weed <br />management plan for all its sites. <br />(7) is adequately addressed in the reclamation plan. <br />(8) is adequate. <br />(9) is not applicable. <br />Rule 3.1.11 is adequate. The Colorado Historical Society submitted favorable <br />comments that no structures have been identified in the immediate area. <br />Rule 3.1.12 is adequate. <br />Rule 3.1.13 Please confirm that Connell Resources will comply with the <br />requirements for spill reporting as outlined in this rule. <br />6.4.6 - Exhibit F, the Reclamation Map, Please refer to comments regarding permit <br />boundaries, affected areas and signatures above. <br />6.4.7 - Exhibit G, Water Information, It is noted the site is a high and dry pit. Contact <br />with the Corp of Engineers is documented and the Office of State Engineer has responded <br />with no issues noted <br />6.4.8 - Exhibit H, Wildlife <br />(1) Division of Wildlife addresses exhibit requirements. Please address <br />comments regarding fencing within the letter. <br />6.4.9 - Exhibit I, Soils is acceptable. <br />6.4. 10 - Exhibit J, Vegetation is acceptable.
