Rule 2. 10.1 requires that all maps submitted with applications shall detail all the <br />information set forth on topographic maps of the U.S. Geologic Survey of the 1:24,000 <br />scale series. Many of the maps submitted with PAP do not have Township, Range, and <br />Section numbers shown including Maps 03, Map 04, Map 05, Maps 15-1 through 15-10, <br />and all of the Premining and Postmining Topography Maps. Please ensure that all maps <br />submitted with the application have Township, Range, and Section clearly labeled. <br />81. Please add the permit boundary to the legend of Map 14. <br />82. Map 09 Hydrologic Monitoring Location Map shows surface water and groundwater <br />monitoring points denoted by the same shape and color of symbol. Please distinguish <br />between surface water and groundwater monitoring locations by using by using different <br />colors and/or symbols. Also the inactive monitoring points shown on the map are not <br />designated as surface water or groundwater. Please clarify this. <br />83. Map 09 shows what appears to be the location of the old Dorchester Coal Company mine <br />to the east of the Red Cliff mine permit boundary. Please note this in the legend of Map <br />09. If it is shown on any other maps, then add it to the legend of those maps as well. <br />General <br />84. The header on pages 2.04-12 through 2.04-14 appears to be incorrect and should be <br />relabeled as 2.04.6 Geology Description. There is a typographical error in the last <br />sentence on page 2.04-14. Please make the necessary corrections. <br />85. The second sentence of the first paragraph on page 2.04-23 does not make sense and <br />needs clarification. <br />86. In the second sentence on page 2.05-25, "regarded area" should be changed to regraded <br />area. <br />87. Please add the words "of streams" to the last sentence of page 2.04-31 behind discharge <br />rates. <br />88. At the bottom of page 2.04-40, CAM indicates "No response required" for Section <br />2.04.7(5). It would be more appropriate to state "Not Applicable" for this section. <br />Rule 3.02 Performance Bond <br />The Division has reviewed the permit material submitted with the Red Cliff Mine PAP with <br />regards to the reclamation cost estimate.
