Gary Isaac
CAM-Colorado, LLC
August 29, 2008
Page 29
needed to calculate a reclamation cost estimate for the site. Therefore, the Division does not
have any adequacy comments or concerns that need to be addressed at this time for the
reclamation cost estimate included in Section 3.02 of Volume 1.
Once the Division has received CAM's responses from this preliminary adequacy review letter,
the Division will incorporate any changes into the existing application and will prepare a full-
blown reclamation cost estimate at that time. Since some information will likely be revised, we
prefer to wait until we receive CAM's response/revisions so we estimate based on the most
accurate information. Once the Division has completed our reclamation cost estimate we will
inform CAM of any differences in the two estimates and may request addition information or
clarification from CAM.
The Division's deadline for proposing a decision on this application is October 31, 2008. The
Division may, for good cause shown, extend the time for the proposed decision up to an
additional 60 days if the application is unusually complex or controversial. Therefore, the
Division requests that CAM respond to this letter by October 15, 2008 or request an extension to
the October 31, 2008 deadline for proposing a decision.
The Division is willing to meet with representatives of CAM to discuss or clarify this letter. If
you would like to schedule a meeting or if you have questions, please contact me.
Sincerely,
A «w P. 3A4&?
Michael P.
