The sample will be taken from the end of a pier on the lake or as far into the lake as <br />possible using hip waders. The cap will be removed at the depth of one foot and the <br />container allowed to fill with water. When the bottle is full, the cap will be attached prior <br />to removing the container from below the surface of the lake. The full sample container <br />is dried and labeled. The labeled container will be placed into a cooler with ice <br />immediately to preserve the sample. <br />Care will be taken to prevent air bubbles from entering the sample container. Sample <br />containers will not be rinsed prior to sampling. <br />-3-
