Revegetation of All Areas <br /> The CONTRACTOR will supply the fertilizer(commercial), mulch, and equipment for chiseling, <br /> fertilizer application, seeding, mulching and crimping. Revegetation efforts will occur on <br /> approximately four (4) acres, which includes the coal mine waste disposal area, the cut and fill <br /> slopes, adjacent anticipated disturbances and access roads to each <br /> Owner will provide the seed. Seed application rate is specified on Table 1, attached. <br /> Measurement and Payment <br /> Measurement and payment for this Task will be as per Revegetation Specification 20.0. <br /> Revegetated areas will be measured to the nearest 0.1 acre and paid at the unit price bid on the <br /> Bid Schedule Item 4. The price bid shall include all costs for labor, materials, equipment and all <br /> other items necessary for revegetation as described in these specifications, including work at the <br /> coal mine waste disposal area, the cut and fill slopes, adjacent disturbances and on all access <br /> point and roads. Payment for this task will be made only for the unit price shown under Item 4 of <br /> the Bid Schedule. Payment shall be as this task is completed and approved by the PROJECT <br /> MANAGER. <br /> Task 5 Equipment Rental <br /> Additional areas in and adjacent to the Project Area may additional work. A CAT D-4C or <br /> equivalent 80 FHP machine with operator, and a CAT 416B Backhoe loader or equivalent 74 fhp <br /> machine with operator. <br /> The hours outlined in Item 5 of the Bid Schedule are NOT guaranteed. All work will be <br /> accomplished according to Specification 19.0, Equipment Rental, attached. <br /> Measurement and Payment <br /> Measurement and payment will be made as per Specification 19.0, Equipment Rental, which is <br /> attached. Payment will be made at the unit prices established in Item 5 of the Bid Schedule. The <br /> hours outlined in Item 5 of the Bid Schedule are NOT guaranteed. <br /> PROJECT OBSERVATION <br /> The PROJECT MANAGER will be at the project site periodically to monitor construction activities <br /> and ensure that each work item is completed and constructed to design specifications. The <br /> PROJECT MANAGER will be available during regular business hours (8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M.) on <br /> weekdays. Inspections will not be scheduled on weekend days or holidays without prior approval <br /> of the PROJECT MANAGER. It is the Contractor's responsibility to schedule inspections with the <br /> Project Manager so as not to delay the work. The following items must be observed and approved <br /> by the PROJECT MANAGER before proceeding with additional work: <br /> 1. Upon completion of topsoil removal operations at the disposal area; <br /> 2. Upon completion of opening the mine roof and placement of the rock or concrete back <br /> stop material; <br /> 3. Upon completion of filling of the mine with coal mine waste; <br /> 4. Upon completion of coal mine waste cut operations; <br /> 8 <br />
