of completing this backfill shall be ripped, roughened and revegetated as specified in Task 2, Site <br /> Preparation, Task 4, Surface Roughening, and Task 6, Revegetation, respectively. <br /> Measurement and Payment <br /> There shall be no measurement for payment. Payment shall be for the lump sum price bid in Item <br /> 7 of the Bid Schedule. This lump sum bid will cover all costs for obtaining and installing the backfill <br /> as required and specified in Standard Work Specification 2.0, ripping, roughening and <br /> revegetating all disturbed lands associated with the backfill operation. Such payment shall be <br /> considered full compensation for all labor, materials, equipment and all other items necessary and <br /> incidental to the backfill closure as specified in the Standard Work Specifications. Payment for <br /> this task will be made only for the amount bid under Item 7 of the Bid Schedule. Payment shall <br /> be as this task is completed and approved by the PROJECT MANAGER. <br /> TASK 8 EQUIPMENT RENTAL <br /> Additional areas in and adjacent to the Project Area may require slope reduction, excavation <br /> or erosion control work. A CAT D-4C or, equivalent 80 FHP machine with operator, and a CAT <br /> 416B Backhoe loader or equivalent 74 fhp machine with operator, and a five (5) cubic yard <br /> on/off highway end dump truck with operator shall be furnished for additional work as needed. <br /> The hours outlined in Item 8 of the Bid Schedule are NOT guaranteed. All work will be <br /> accomplished according to Standard Work Specification 19.0, Equipment Rental. <br /> Measurement and Payment <br /> Measurement and payment will be made as per Specification 19.0, Equipment Rental. <br /> Payment will be made at the unit prices established in Item 8 of the Bid Schedule. The hours <br /> outlined in Item 9 of the Bid Schedule are NOT guaranteed. <br /> TASK 9 POST CONSTRUCTION SEDIMENT CONTROL <br /> Silt fence may be placed at various locations to minimize the transportation of sediment from <br /> the facility. Placement of silt fencing, if required, may occur concurrently with, or immediately <br /> upon completion of topsoil application operations. Up to 1,500 feet of silt fence may be <br /> installed during completion of this project. Silt fence will be Mirafi Prefabricated Silt Fence <br /> with Posts, or approved equivalent. <br /> Silt fencing will be placed horizontally on slopes so that it is perpendicular to the fall of the <br /> slope. If two lengths of silt fence are to be placed in a non-continuous manner, one end shall <br /> overlap the other by five feet (6) (Figure'2, Typical Silt Fence). Silt fence will be installed as <br /> per manufacturers specifications. <br /> Measurement and Payment <br /> Silt fence will be measured to the nearest linear foot. Payment for this task will be paid for at <br /> prices established in Item 9 of the Bid Schedule per linear foot installed. Installation of 1,500 <br /> feet of silt fence IS NOT guaranteed. Such payment shall be considered full compensation for <br /> all labor, materials, equipment and all other items necessary and incidental to the furnishing <br /> and placement of the silt fences as.directed and described in the specifications. Payment will <br /> be as this task is completed and approved by the PROJECT MANAGER.
