PROJECT OBSERVATION <br /> The PROJECT MANAGER will be at the project site periodically to monitor construction activities <br /> and ensure that each work item is completed and constructed to design specifications. The <br /> PROJECT MANAGER will be available during regular business hours (8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M.) <br /> on weekdays. Inspections will not be scheduled on weekend days or holidays without prior <br /> approval of the PROJECT MANAGER. It is the Contractor's responsibility to schedule inspections <br /> with the Project Manager so as not to delay the work. The following items must be observed and <br /> approved by the PROJECT MANAGER before proceeding with additional work: <br /> 1. Upon completion of topsoil salvage operations; <br /> 2. Upon completion of ripping and debris /trash removal operations; <br /> 3. At the initiation of topsoil excavation operations; <br /> 4. Upon completion of topsoil excavation and application operations; <br /> 5. Upon initiation of surface roughening operations; <br /> 6. Upon initiation of channel construction operations; <br /> 7. Upon initiation of revegetation operations. <br /> ADDITIONAL BID ITEMS <br /> There are included on the Bid Schedule, several additional bid items. These bid items are NOT <br /> GUARANTEED, and will be used only in the event that conditions change on site, and only after <br /> approved by the PROJECT MANAGER. The additional bid items for this project include: <br /> Task 10 Supply Topsoil <br /> Please provide a price to obtain and deliver 3,225 cubic yards of topsoil or topsoil substitute to <br /> the Project Area. Prior to accepting the soil, PROJECT MANAGER must be provided with the <br /> following information by CONTRACTOR: <br /> Soil Analysis <br /> A representative analysis of the soil material must be provided. The analysis shall be completed <br /> by a certified laboratory, and shall contain an analysis the following parameters: <br /> Ammonia Organic Matter(%) <br /> Nitrate Conductance <br /> Phosphorous Sodium Adsorption Ratio <br /> pH Potassium <br /> Permits <br /> A statement from the owner/ operator of the soil provider verifying that the mining operation is <br /> appropriately permitted by the State of Colorado, Mined Land Reclamation Board for the <br /> extraction and sale of the material being provided. The statement must also verify that all other <br /> necessary permits have been obtained from the appropriate authorities. <br />
