PROJECT OBSERVATION The PROJECT MANAGER will be at the project site periodically to monitor construction activities and ensure that each work item is completed and constructed to design specifications. The PROJECT MANAGER will be available during regular business hours (8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M.) on weekdays. Inspections will not be scheduled on weekend days or holidays without prior approval of the PROJECT MANAGER. It is the Contractor's responsibility to schedule inspections with the Project Manager so as not to delay the work. The following items must be observed and approved by the PROJECT MANAGER before proceeding with additional work: 1. Upon completion of topsoil salvage operations; 2. Upon completion of ripping and debris /trash removal operations; 3. At the initiation of topsoil excavation operations; 4. Upon completion of topsoil excavation and application operations; 5. Upon initiation of surface roughening operations; 6. Upon initiation of channel construction operations; 7. Upon initiation of revegetation operations. ADDITIONAL BID ITEMS There are included on the Bid Schedule, several additional bid items. These bid items are NOT GUARANTEED, and will be used only in the event that conditions change on site, and only after approved by the PROJECT MANAGER. The additional bid items for this project include: Task 10 Supply Topsoil Please provide a price to obtain and deliver 3,225 cubic yards of topsoil or topsoil substitute to the Project Area. Prior to accepting the soil, PROJECT MANAGER must be provided with the following information by CONTRACTOR: Soil Analysis A representative analysis of the soil material must be provided. The analysis shall be completed by a certified laboratory, and shall contain an analysis the following parameters: Ammonia Organic Matter(%) Nitrate Conductance Phosphorous Sodium Adsorption Ratio pH Potassium Permits A statement from the owner/ operator of the soil provider verifying that the mining operation is appropriately permitted by the State of Colorado, Mined Land Reclamation Board for the extraction and sale of the material being provided. The statement must also verify that all other necessary permits have been obtained from the appropriate authorities.
