Task 1- Mobilization and Demobilization <br /> The CONTRACTOR shall exercise caution during mobilization, performance of all work <br /> tasks, and demobilization in order to avoid damage to public and private property including, <br /> but not limited to, railroad tracks,pavements, soils,vegetation,water supplies, fences,walls, <br /> structures, existing sediment Ponds, landscaping, etc. The CONTRACTOR shall repair and <br /> restore public or private property damaged during the work at his expense. <br /> The CONTRACTOR shall be fully responsible for any and all damage'to property caused <br /> by his equipment or personnel. The CONTRACTOR shall ensure that the job site is <br /> restored to original or better condition and,that the PROJECT MANAGER accept that the <br /> work is complete. <br /> MOBILIZATION <br /> This task includes moving equipment and supplies to the project area. If desired, the <br /> CONTRACTOR may establish a staging area for the storage of all equipment and supplies. <br /> The area shall be of adequate size to accommodate all of the CONTRACTOR'S vehicles, <br /> equipment and supplies and shall be approved by the PROJECT MANAGER. The <br /> CONTRACTOR shall minimize impact on the staging area with regard to noise, dust, and <br /> fumes. The CONTRACTOR shall be responsible for maintaining security of the staging <br /> area. <br /> This task also includes all labor and costs associated with locating and protecting utilities, <br /> both above ground and underground, at the work site. Contamination of soil and surface <br /> or ground water from petroleum products will not be permitted and must be taken into <br /> consideration. <br /> See also 1.0 Mobilization/Demobilization, attached. <br /> DEMOBILIZATION <br /> This item shall include all labor, equipment, and costs associated with demobilization and <br /> clean-up of the work site to its original or better condition. All equipment and supplies, <br /> materials, and debris related to this project will be removed from the site upon completion. <br /> The CONTRACTOR shall also reclaim any staging area or other ground disturbed during <br /> the course of the project located outside of the project area as defined by this Bid <br /> Document. All haul roads shall be fully regraded and reclaimed upon completion of the <br /> project. Additional final grading shall be accomplished, if needed, to reduce steep slopes <br /> and contour on the project site areas not specifically addressed in the work plan. See also <br /> Section 1.0 of the "Standard Work Specifications" included in DM&G General Bid <br /> Specifications, 1993. <br /> REMOBILIZATION <br /> See 1.0 Mobilization/Demobilization, attached. <br /> 7 <br />
