The new channel will be twenty <br /> feet in width at the bottom with a high berm on the northwest side (see Drawing #1). <br /> Excess material from channel construction shall be used in construction of the berms, <br /> and/or disposed of in the Pond 15-P10 removal, and regrading or embankment construction <br /> for Pond 22-P10. Slight meanders will be constructed to slow the flow of water and allow <br /> development of a normal stream channel (see Map #4). <br /> A mine haulage road will cross the realigned channel by a riprapped low water crossing. <br /> This portion of the task requires excavating the road, plus ten (10) feet on each side of the <br /> road, a depth of two (2) feet below stream channel grade and replacing with two feet of <br /> riprap (see Map #4). Riprap material for the road crossing must consist of durable <br /> __-irr harrre k have a minimum D - 50 of 6 inches and D-max of 9 inches. The resulting new slope shall be graded to approximate <br /> original contour. Payment for Task #4 will be <br /> reflected in a lump sum bid under Item 4 on the Bid Schedule. <br /> Task 5 - Reconstruction of Pond 22-P10 <br /> The purpose .of this task is to construct a new northwest embankment for Pond 22-P10, <br /> repair damage to the adjacent haulage road, and install a new culvert under the road. <br /> Work Description <br /> A new northwest embankment shall be constructed between the haul road and a prominent <br /> siltstone outcrop on the southwest side of the existing Pond.
