PR-12 Exhibit 71
4.4.1 Springs above the F-Seam in the North Fork Drainage Basin
4.4.1.1 Sprin 24-3
25
Spring 24-3 is located in the West Flatiron drainage that is the first tributary entering Raven Gulch from the west,
which is tributary to the North Fork of the Gunnison River and east of the West Flatiron mining panels. This
spring issues from a sandstone bed above the F-Seam, flows seasonally, and is typically dry in the late summer
and fall months (Map 1). Monitoring at this spring began in 1998.
4.4.1.2 Syrings E-13-1 E-13-2 E-13-3. E-13-4
Springs E-13-1, E-13-2, E-13-3, and E-13-4 are located in the lower West Flatiron drainage that is the first
tributary entering Raven Gulch from the west, which is tributary to the North Fork of the Gunnison River and east
of the West Flatiron mining panels. These springs issue from sandstone beds above the F-Seam, flow seasonally,
and are typically dry in the late summer and fall months (Map 1). These springs have been monitored since 2001.
4.4.1.3 Spring 26-1
Spring 26-1 is located in a drainage on the west side of the Deep Creek drainage between the Upper and Lower
Deep Creek monitoring stations (Map 1). Deep Creek is tributary to Raven Gulch and the North Fork of the
Gunnison River. This spring is above the east side of mine Panel 15 (Box Canyon inine panel area) and issues
from a sandstone bed above the F-Seam. This spring has perennial flow but shows strong seasonal variations
Affik with high flows in the spring months. Monitoring at this spring began in 1996.
4.4.1.4 Seep E14-1
Seep E14-1 is located in upper Box Canyon which is tributary to the North Fork of the Gunnison River and is
above the Box Canyon panel area (Map 1). This seep issues from a sandstone bed above the E-Seam and has
never flowed. It is damp only during very wet spring months, but is typically dry. Monitoring at this seep began
in 1998.
4.4.1.5 &ring 27-1
Spring 27-1 is located in upper Sylvester Gulch, tributary to the North Fork of the Gunnison River, (Map 1) and
feeds an area known as "twin ponds". This spring issues from alluvial sediments and is above the south side of
mine Panel 15 (Box Canyon mine panel area). Hydrologic monitoring measurements from this station are taken
at the end of a plastic drain pipe. Monitoring at this spring began in 1996.
4.4.1.6 Sp7777g G-7
Spring G-7 is located in a western tributary of Sylvester Gulch and is south of the NE mine panel area and north
of the SE panel area (1\-1ap 1). This spring issues from joints in a sandstone ledge and has perennial flow; but
shows strong seasonal variatii;a :with high flows in the spring months. Monitoring at this spring begat: in 1977.
September 2007 IhrdroGeo, Inc.
0
