B-2 also presents the TDS concentrations for QR well GP-5. TDS concentrations in this well were
steady in 2007. Water levels in this well have also demonstrated a suYUlar overall slight mcreasmg
trend over portions of their historical records which are likely natural.
Figure B-3 presents the TDS concentrations for three KLM aquifer wells. The data for
well GP-4 is presented in red square on Figure B-3 with steady values in 2007. The concentrations
have overall similar values for the last several years. TDS concentrations for two of the eastern
KLM wells, GP-2 and GP-8, are also shown on this figure with concentrations generally between
700 and 800 mg/1. Variable TDS concentrations that are overall steady have been observed in these
two wells for the last few years.
Figures B-4 and B-5 present the TDS concentrations versus time for the HI aquifer wells.
The TDS in HI aquifer well GF-4 had gradually increased in concentrations with time but have
been fairly steady for the last four years. The small changes are well within natural fluctuations in
this well but could be due to upgradient mining. TDS concentration m backfill well GF-5 is
slightly greater but is still well within the natural range for the HI aquifer. Significantly higher TDS
values have been observed in backfill well GF-7 with the concentrations in the last ten years being
between the lower levels prior to this period and the maximum historical values from this well.
One of the two values in 2007 for TDS was lower while the other value was very similar to recent
concentrations. TDS values in this backfill aquifer will likely fluctuate until they decline to a value
similar to the HI aquifer in this area.
Wells GMP-1 and GP-3 are two HI aquifer wells north of the A pit. Higher values of TDS
were observed in well GMP-1 during 2006 and 2007. This well is immediately downgraclient of
the reclaimed A pit and is likely showing fluctuations from the backfill aquifer. The previous TDS
values and fluctuations in well ('TMP-1 are similar to those in well GC-l, which had to be natural
Trapper Mining Company 3-2
2007 Annual Report
