Payment of <br /> one-third of the lump sum price will be made with the final progress payment for the work if <br /> demobilization has been completed. If the price bid for mobilization and demobilization is <br /> greater fifteen percent (15%) of the total contract price, invoices supporting the mobilization <br /> costs will be required before payment is approved. <br /> ITEM 2 Trash Removal <br /> Off of a previously operated haul road is an unmaintained road which leads to an area <br /> requiring the removal of various objects. The unmaintained road has slumped and requires <br /> road improvement for approximately 100 1.f. Trash removal consists of the following: <br /> - 1 - 12'diameter, 18' high steel tank presumably used for either petroleum products or <br /> water; <br /> - associated 2" diameter piping with the above steel tank approximately 100' total <br /> length; <br /> - 1 - 20' length, 1 - 15' length 16" diameter unraveled CSP; <br /> - 2 - 8'd off highway truck tires; <br /> - partially buried small steel frame approximately 6' wide x 12'length; <br /> - 3 steel barrels; <br /> The above items will either be salvaged or properly disposed off at a County approved <br /> landfill site. The method of disposal must be approved by the Project Manager prior to <br /> disposal. The Contractor will submit written documentation as to what disposal method was <br /> used. After removal of the trash the site will be revegetated. Revegetation will be <br /> performed on all areas disturbed and/or compacted during trash removal work including the <br /> general area around the large steel tank according to the Revegetation Specifications (20.0) in <br /> the General Bid Specifications. Commercial fertilizer or manure may be used for this <br /> project. Seed will be supplied by the OWNER. The CONTRACTOR will supply the <br /> fertilizer, certified weed free mulch, equipment for chiseling, fertilizer application, seeding, <br /> mulching, and crimping. <br /> Measurement and Payment <br /> Payment for this item will be reflected in a lump sum bid under Item 2 on the Bid Schedule. <br /> This lump sum bid will cover payment of all costs for accessing excavation, loading, <br /> transport, documented disposal methods of the above listed trash and revegetation. There will <br /> be no measurement for payment. Payment shall be as this task is completed and approved by <br /> the PROJECT MANAGER. Payment for this task shall be made only for that amount shown <br /> under Item 7 of the Bid Schedule. Any or all incidental costs incurred by the <br /> CONTRACTOR shall be reflected in each Bid Item or shall be paid at the CONTRACTOR's <br /> expense. <br /> 5 <br />
