SECTION 02950 <br />SITE RESTORATION <br />PART 1: GENERAL <br />1.01 DESCRIPTION <br />A. All Work included in this Section shall be performed in accordance with the following <br />paragraphs, the provisions of all Contract Documents, and all applicable Laws and <br />Regulations. <br />B. Work covered under this Section includes providing all materials, equipment, and labor <br />to furnish and install materials including, but not limited to: <br />1. Topsoil, seed and mulch along the downstream slope, borrow pit area and any <br />other significantly and substantially disturbed area as a result of <br />CONTRACTOR's activities. <br />2. Disposal of unsuitable material, and stockpile of suitable material from surface <br />preparation. <br />1.02 REFERENCES <br />A. American Society for Testing and Materials, Current Edition, hereafter referred to as <br />ASTM. <br />B. USDA Forest Service -Region 2 Water Conservation Practices Handbook BMP's <br />1.03 SUBMITTALS <br />A. Prior to construction, CONTRACTOR shall submit for information and documentation a <br />plan for site restoration as part of the Contractor Work Plan as set forth in Section 01110 <br />of the Specifications. <br />B. CONTRACTOR shall submit for proof of specification compliance seed mix product <br />information for COMPANY'S approval prior to restoring site and reseeding. Submit for <br />approval all technical data and product information for all slope seeding materials. <br />1.04 SEQUENCING AND SCHEDULING [NOT USED] <br />A. Topsoil for seeding shall be from the stockpile developed during Site Clearing and <br />Grubbing activities as set forth in Section 02300. <br />A. Mulch shall be from the stockpile and Site as developed during Site Clearing and <br />Grubbing activities as set forth in Section 02300. <br />A. Topsoil placement, seeding and mulching shall occur following the disturbance of areas, <br />prior to certification of the construction by Office of the State Engineer. <br />02950-1 <br />
