' 3.03 UTILITY STRUCTURE INSTALLATION <br />' A. Utility structures installation shall be conducted in accordance with Section 206, Excavation and <br />Backfill for Structures, and Section 604, Manholes, Inlets and Meter Vaults, of the CDOT <br />Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction. <br />3.04 INTAKE STRUCTURE AND APPURTENANCES <br />A. Field verify location and elevation of existing CIP reservoir outlet and modify intake structure <br />location and elevation to provided the structure, gate and trash rack configuration as shown on the <br />Drawings. Verify modifications with ENGINEER. <br />' B. Coordinate construction of intake structure and trash rack to ensure compatibility: <br />C. Install cast-in wall sleeve with collaz at approximately the center of the wall. Field verify <br />alignment with existing pipe stub. <br />D. Verify angle of side slope prior to fabricating and installing intake pipe with flange for slide gate. <br />' Adjust as required to achieve slope compatible with installation shown on the Drawings. Pipe <br />joints shall be water tight. Coordinate with intake structure and gate stem support block <br />construction with slide gate manufacturer. Gate stem deflection shall not exceed manufacturer's <br />' recommendations. <br />3.05 ABANDONMENT OF EXISTING VALVE <br />' A. Remove pipe with valve as shown on Drawings. <br />B. Install DIP plain end by plain end spool section with couplings. <br />C.
