J. Leakage rate shall be within the limits specified in AWWA C501. <br />' K. Sluice gate shall be Rodney Hunt, Waterman, Hydrogate or approved equal. <br />2.09 DUCTILE IIZON PIPE <br />A. Ductile iron pipe shall conform to the requirements of ANSI A21.51/AWWA C151 and <br />minimum 250 psi. <br />B. Restrained joints shall be designed for a working pressure of 150 psi. Mechanical joint restraint <br />shall be "Mega Lug" as manufactured by EBBA iron Sales, Inc. or equal. Use of set screw <br />retainer glands will not be permitted. <br />C. All pipe and fittings shall be furnished with cement mortar lining meeting the requirements of <br />ANSI A21.4/AWWA C104 for standazd thickness lining. All exterior services of the pipe and <br />fittings shall have a tar or bituminous seal coating at least 1 mil thick. Spotty or thin seal coating, <br />or poor coating adhesion shall be cause for rejection. <br />D. Flanged joints shall be faced and drilled for use with ANSI B 16.1 Class 125 dimensions. <br />E. Wall sleeve shall have minimum 17.75-inch diameter wall collaz cast at the approximate center of <br />the wall. <br />F. All bolts on mechanical joints shall be "Cor-ten" steel. <br />2.10 PIPE COUPLING <br />A. Pipe coupling for repair of existing CIP where valve is removed shall be asingle-band <br />style, fi>Zl circle clamp coupling rated for minimum 50 psi. <br />B. Band shall be Type 304 stainless steel. Gasket shall be Grade 60 NBR. <br />C. Bolts and nuts shall be high strength low-alloy steel ASTM 325 or A242 with heavy <br />semi-finished hexagon nuts conforming to ASTM A563. <br />D. Pipe coupling shall be Smith-Blair style 221 or equal. <br />2.11 STEEL INTAKE PIPE <br />A. Steel intake pipe shall be fabricated from Sch. 40 steel welded to provide the configuration <br />shown on the Drawings. <br />B. Flanges shall be cazbon steel, drilled and tapped in conformance with ANSI B 16.1 Class 125 <br />dimensions. <br />2.12 TRASH RACK <br />A. Trash rack bazs shall conform to the latest ASTM Designation A615, A616, A617 or A706, <br />Grade 60. <br />02661-4 <br />
