C. ENGINEER will monitor the quality of the construction as specified in Rule 9 of the CO/DWR <br />Rules and Regulations and as specified herein. ENGINEER shall monitor the quality of <br />construction, compliance with the approved design and specifications, preparation of the <br />necessary documentation for the State Engineer's review and approval of all construction change <br />orders, and preparation of the project completion documents required in Rule 10. <br />D. COMPANY shall give State Engineer not less than 7-days notice of start of construction in <br />accordance with Rule 6 of CO/DWR Rules and Regulations. <br />E. Upon completion of the Work, COMPANY shall file as-constructed plans with State Engineer in <br />accordance with Rule 6 and Rule 10 of CO/DWR Rules and Regulations. <br />1.06 COMPANY FURNISHED PRODUCTS <br />A. COMPANY may make available a laydown/storage area for use by CONTRACTOR. <br />1.07 PRODUCTS SOURCED FROM SITE <br />A. Certain materials for construction will be salvaged from the Site; this includes the upstream clay <br />blanket, downstream earth buttress, clay caps over trench drains, an unknown amount of the <br />upstream riprap (does not include geotextile or granular base), brush for restoration mulching, <br />and small amounts of water. <br />1.08 CONTRACTOR USE OF PREMISES <br />A. Definition of Site: The Site is defined as the area within the construction limits. The <br />construction limits include the dam construction azeas; borrow azeas and connecting access roads <br />as shown on the Drawings. CONTRACTOR shall limit operations, including materials and <br />equipment storage, to the area within the construction limits. Any disturbance outside the <br />construction limits shall be fully restored at CONTRACTOR's expense in accordance with Laws <br />and Regulations (including but not limited to the regulations set forth by USDA Forest Service <br />and/or others). CONTRACTOR shall obtain approval of COMPANY at all locations where <br />CONTRACTOR uses land not included in the construction limits. <br />B. Hours of Operation: Working hours shall be set by CONTRACTOR, subject to approval by <br />COMPANY. <br />' C. Protection and Repair of Existing Facilities, Utilities, and Instrumentation: CONTRACTOR <br />shall perform operations carefully and in such a manner as to protect existing structures, <br />Underground Facilities, Utilities, Instrumentation. Obstructions not shown on the Drawings may <br />' exist and shall be exposed by CONTRACTOR without damage. CONTRACTOR shall be <br />responsible for damage to existing structures, Underground Facilities, Utilities, and <br />Instrumentation resulting from CONTRACTOR'S operations, and shall repair or replace damaged <br />' items to COMPANY'S satisfaction. <br />D. Unfavorable Construction Conditions: When unfavorable weather, soil, drainage, or other <br />unsuitable construction conditions exist, CONTRACTOR shall confine operations to work which <br />' will not be adversely affected by such conditions. No portion of the Work shall be constructed <br />under conditions which would adversely affect the quality of the Work, unless special means or <br />precautions are taken to perform the Work in a proper and satisfactory manner. <br />' 01110-6 <br />
