7. Excavate borrow material, place and compact borrow as upstream clay blanket, furnish and <br />install geotextile material for the upstream face, furnish and install riprap protection and <br />granular base material for the upstream face. <br />8. Install trench drains and the downstream granular drainage blanket on the downstream <br />slope of the dam. <br />9. Furnish and install all materials, including borrow, as necessary for the downstream earth <br />buttress and benching. Excavate borrow material, place and compact borrow as <br />downstream earth buttress. <br />10. Install interceptor trench drain in the vicinity of the borrow area. <br />11. Install a new water intake structure and trashrack on the upstream side of the dam around <br />the existing inlet pipe. <br />12. Modify/abandon the existing intake control valve as required. <br />13. Furnish and install a new intake control gate, gate opening/closing system, and all materials <br />required for the new control system. <br />14. Furnish and install a new operating platform on the crest of the dam. <br />15. Furnish and install all materials required for the outlet, drop structure, and energy dissipater <br />(including RCP, precast concrete structure, geotextile fabric, granular base, and riprap). <br />16. Extend piezometer wells and inclinometer standpipes as necessary to maintain function and <br />readability. <br />17. Establish down stream slope protection (includes topsoil, seeding and mulching). <br />18. Perform permanent site restoration of all areas disturbed. <br />19. Perform administrative duties as set forth in the Contract Documents to coordinate and <br />record Construction activities. <br />B. It is the intent of the Contract Documents to cover all aspects of the Project. Should there be <br />some item or items not shown on the Contract Drawings or not described in these Specifications <br />which are required for the Work, those items and the furnishing of all labor, materials, and <br />equipment shall be considered incidental to the Work and no additional compensation will be <br />provided. <br />~ C. The Work includes the furnishing of all labor, equipment, tools, machinery, materials, and other <br />items required for the construction of a complete project as specified. Equipment furnished shall <br />' be in safe operating condition and of adequate size, capacity, and condition for the performance <br />of the Work. CONTRACTOR shall obtain all measurements necessary for the Work and shall be <br />responsible for establishing all dimensions, levels, and layout of the Work. <br />D. CONTRACTOR shall be solely responsible for the coordination of its activities with regard to <br />the Project and the activities of Subcontractors. <br />01110-4 <br />
