planned to be conducted in phases. (Please see the attached Exhibit "C"Mining Plan
f ' MaP)
18. Proposed hours of operation:
The proposed hours of operation are from Sunrise to Sunset, Monday through Saturday,
year round. The operation will likely be closed for all major holidays. However, in
emergencies, such as floods or fire fighting, the operation may need to be open outside
normally scheduled business hours.
19. Estimated life of the operation:
The estimated life of the Operation is difficult to predict. However, if the market demand
for the product is in the range of 750,000 tons per year over the life of the mine, the mine
could be expected to be in operation for up to 25 years. This estimate may vary due to
market demand and therefore the Operation could run longer.
20. The number of operational employees:
The Main shift employees will be between 3 to 10 people depending upon the time of
year, the number of orders and the production schedule that will be needed to meet
market demand.
21. Mine site access:
The mine site will contain three points of egress and ingress. The Blue Grass Gravel Pit
West Pit will connect to 39~' Lane, which then intersects with State Highway 96 East (US
50). A Pueblo County access permit and a Colorado Department of Transportation
(CDOT) access permit will be obtained prior to commercial use for product hauling. The
Bluegrass Gravel Pit East Pit connects to State Highway 96 East (LJS50) from two points
along the northern permit boundary for egress and ingress. Similar permits will be
obtained for these access points.
22. Number of truck trips per day:
The estimated number of product truck trips per day will average 240. This number
includes sod deliveries, since the site is also a sod farm, construction aggregate and
concrete and/or asphalt transport.
