Meteorological Data
No meteorological data is collected at the Yoast Miae. SCC maintains a Weather station
(Wladspeed and direction, temperature and precipitation) at its adjacent Seneca II-W Miaa.
The reader is referred to that AHR. Appendix H. SCC also maintains a precipitation gage
at its adjacent Seneca II Mine. Data for 1996 are included on TaD1e 1. A summary of all
data collected at that eta ti on is provided here im Table 2.
Data from tae National Climatic Data Center for the Hayden Station was used to evaluate
tae precipitation trend. For this year, 17.84 inches of precipitation was measured, waica
ass 1.05 inches greater than the 1961-1990 average. October, December, Marco, June, July,
and August were all below average. Saowpack runoff, ae estimated by totaling November
througa April precipitation values, was 11 .2H inches, whica wan 2.77 incase above the
1961-1990 average. January precipitation, which was 2.0; caches above average, accounted
for much of this increase.
GSOUnd WdtBI
Water Levels
rovides a summar
Table 3
of
round wate
site
st M
t ta
Y
W
t •
.
p y
g
r
s a
e
oa ine.
a
er
level data era Drovided in Appendix e. Water level reports for this year are presented
immediately after the water level hydiograpa of all data since 1991. Water level
meaevrementa are collected with an electrical water level Indicator or a steel tape.
Pressure readings (in psi) obtained from flowing wells with pressure gaqes are multiplied
by 2.31 to obtain head in fee[. Monitoring at Wells 7 and 9 was discontinued after October, 1995
(but continues at adz scent well e). Well 13 was aLandoned in August, 1996 due to damage
by farming.
