~, <br /> <br /> <br />9. Rip the ore pad to a depth of one foot and load on ore haul <br />truck and ship to the Canon City Mill. This will involvE~ an <br />area of 18,000 square feet and about 1100 tons of material. <br />10. Once all the equipment that cannot be adequately decontaminated <br />is gathered in the salvage yard, it will be loaded on trucks and <br />hauled to Canon City where it will be disposed of in the tailings <br />pond. <br />11. Dismantle the washed loading hopper and feeding system, cr°~sher, <br />sorters and the conveyor support system, paint the metal and remove <br />to the salvage yard for disposal. <br />12. The concrete pads will be broken up and the concrete and dirt <br />(if any) will be loaded onto trucks and hauled to the Canon City <br />• tailings pond for disposal. <br />13. When all the equipment has been removed, the whole area will be <br />checked for significant contamination. If any areas showing <br />significant anomalies are found, they will be removed and shipped <br />to Canon City for disposal in the tailings pond. <br />14. Equipment removed to the salvage yard will not be released for <br />use by the general public if the surface contamination exceeds <br />a total of 1000 disintegrations per minute per 100 sq. cros., or <br />if the removable contamination exceeds 20 d.p.m. per 100 sq. cros., <br />other other decommissioning requirements which may be applicable <br />at the time. <br /> <br />6-2 <br />
