October 2000 -61- 003-2191 <br />The operator will commence closure activities of each portion of the landfill no later <br />than 30 days after the final waste grades are reached. <br />3.5.7 The owner or operator must complete closure activities of each landfill phase, in <br />accordance with the closure plan, within one hundred eighty days following the <br />beginning of closure as specified in this section. <br />The operator will complete clostue activities within 180 days, in accordance with <br />3.6 POST-CLOSURE CARE <br />The following describes the post-closure caze that the operator will perform in <br />accordance with Sections 3.6.1 through 3.6.3. <br />Following the closure of the facility, the Operator will conduct post-closure care in <br />accordance with applicable CDPHE regulations, as from time to time amended. The <br />following provides a general description of current CDPHE post-closure care <br />requirements. The post-closure cost estimate is provided in Appendix 7. It will be <br />updated annually to reflect any changes in costs, site conditions, or other factors. <br />Current CDPHE regulations require post-closure care for 30 years. The duration of the <br />post-closure caze period may be reduced with approval of the CDPHE.
