Specifically, the following describes the closure requirements
and procedures that will be met to ensure successful closure of the facility
(1) Final Cover Description
The final cover will be 1.5 feet of recompacted clay, a 2-foot frost protection
• layer and a 0.5 foot topsoil layer. The cover will be vegetated with an
appropriate plant species selected in conjunction with the local Agricultural
Extension Service.
(2) An estimate of the lazgest area of the depository ever requiring final cover
The total azea of final cover is 75 acres. However, the outer slopes on the
eastern and then northern and southern portions of the facility will be closed
completely as final waste heights aze reached and while the later cells aze in
operation. This will substantially reduce the lazgest area requiring final cover to
approximately the azea of the final 3 cells, Cells 9, 10 and 11. The azea of these
cells is approximately 20 acres.

umizi9iizi9is.ew.e~~iiooa a~ Sedalia Recycling Center and Depository
