• <br />October 2000 <br />2.1.12 No raw sludge from treatment plants, septic tank materials, or chemical toilet wastes <br />-13- <br />003-2191 <br />will be accepted without prior approval from the Department. Solid waste from septic <br />treatment plants that qualify as non-toxic, non-hazardous may be disposed of on acase- <br />by-case basis upon specific written approval from the Department. No liquids will be <br />disposed at the site. <br />2.1.13 No approved sludge disposal shall be co-disposed with other waste without prior <br />approval of the Department. Sludge materials meeting the non-hazazdous criteria and <br />passing the paint filter test may be accepted at the site upon specific written approval of <br />the Department. <br />2.1.14 Liquids will not be accepted. In cases of remediation of contained liquids such as taz or <br />paint, the materials will be processed to a solid state and/or will pass the paint filter test <br />• prior to disposal. <br />2.1.15 The applicant has made a demonstration that the depository will comply with <br />groundwater protection standazds at the relevant point of compliance. The <br />demonstrationis set forth in the following text. <br />2.1.16 The final topography of the Sedalia Recycling Center and Depository will conform to <br />the general slopes found in the existing and sun•ounding landscape. The final contours <br />of the site will be established to be no steeper than the maximum slopes as shown on <br />Drawing 5, the existing slopes on the adjacent hills and is designed to be no more than 4 <br />horizontal to 1 vertical slopes as found in the mining project. The site will be contoured <br />to be aesthetically pleasing and conform to wildlife trails, open space, and revegetation <br />for wildlife. <br />2.1.17 The uppermost saturated zone beneath the site is a sandstone unit in the Dawson <br />• azkose (see section 2.2.2(B)).
