1 <br />Reamed pilot hole (below 80 feet BGS) to 9-7/8-inch diameter in one pass. 9-7/8-inch <br />' hole advanced to 623 feet BGS using tricone reaming bit. <br />' Friday, March 7, 1997 <br />Circulated drilling mud for about 1 hour. Tripped out rods. <br />' 10:30 -Began lowering screen/casing. Al] joints welded. Centralizers about every 50 <br />feet. <br />Difficulty lowering casing with bottom of string between 340 and -390 feet BGS. <br />Refusal at string depth of -390 feet BGS, <br />13:05 -Decision made to pull casing. Hole was either crooked or "walked" during <br />reaming. <br />14:45 - All casing/screen removed. <br />Monday, March 10, 1997 <br />Reamed 10-1/4 inch hole to depth of 623 feet BGS. Bit consisted of two tricone bits <br />separated by a 6-foot rigid sub. Bit was used to smooth out crooked sections of hole. <br />Wednesday, Mazch 12, 1997 <br />07:00 to 10:45 -Installed screen and casing. All joints welded. Centralizers about every <br />50 feet between 50 and 580 feet BGS. Bottom of string at 602 feet BGS. <br />--12:00 to 18:10 -Installed sand pack using 3/4-inch tremie pipe. Sand pack: Colorado <br />' Silica 10-20. Total of 217 - 50 pound sacks. Problems with sand bridging in tremie pipe; <br />pipe was removed several times. Top of sand pack at 297 feet BGS. <br />18:20 to 19:05 -Placed 15 sacks of Portland type UII cement with tremie. Cement mix: 7 <br />gallons per sack. <br />1 Friday, March 14, 1997 <br />Well developed by air-lift surging. Very little sand removed during development. <br />' Initially, water was yellowish and had the odor of rotten eggs. With time, the color and <br />odor diminished, but did not disappear.
