-9-
one totalizing flow meter. This meter has experienced failures; there-
fore, estimates were made for volumes lost. The 13,000,000 gallons
pumped breaks down into approximately 7,500,000 gallons (14.3 gpm)
from the old mine and 5,500,000 gallons (10.4 gpm) from the active
portions of the mine. Of the 10.4 gpm calculated for the active portions
of the mine, only 5.0 gpm are accounted for by measurable flows above
1/4 gpm. The average and mass average conductivity for the sample
point UG-6 are suspected to be in error. The calculated mass average
conductivity for this location, from the mass average of its inflows,
is 4439. This error may be due to a sampling error. A proper mix of
the inflows may not have occurred where the sampling is done.
Table M-83
Average
Average Ave. Conductivity Mass Average
Location Flow Total Flow ~ @ 25 C Conductivity
UG-1 1.9 gpm 8.6 737
•
UG-2 0.4 8.4 698
UG-3 0.25 8.3 750
UG-4 1.2 8.4 869
UG-5(upper) 14.3* 7,520,0009. 6.8 7201 7118
UG-5(lower) 8.4 7073
UG-6 24.7* 12,998,7009. 8.4 3819 3490
UG-7 1.25 8.4 699
UG-8 8.6 2811
UG-9 7.6 2577
UG-1,2,3,
4, & 7 756
* Calculated from total flow, rather than average flow rates.
