-lo-
. Consumptive Use
Water for consumptive use came from the Coalby Domestic Water
Company. This water is metered by the water company. Table C-83 is
a listing of monthly usage and tonnage. Assuming that 5% of the
tonnage is added water, 12.5 gallons, and that the shower facilities
require an equivalent to 2 gallons/ton, a total of 14.5 gallons/ton
should be the usage. Part of the high usage was due to constants ~
which show up during periods of low tonnage, such as dust supression
and showers. The remaining high usage may be attributed to waterline
breaks. Repairs were made in October, 1982 and May, 1983. No under-
ground water or surface water was used. An augmentation plan for
15 gpm was approved by the District Court, Water Division No. 4, of
the state of Colorado on July 26, 1983. This water right has not yet
been developed.
Table C-83
Monthly Consumptive Water Use
Month Usage Tonnage* Gallons/Ton

October, 1982 17,700 352 50.3
November 45,200 151 299.0
December 79,000 465 170.0
January, 1983 93,400 1202 77.7
February 52,900 1201 44.5
March 73,900 970 76.2
April 67,100 990 67.8
May 17,300 0 -
June 5,900 0 -
July 19,100 1260 15.2
August 24,400 560 43.6
TOTALS 490,900 7151 68.7
* These are mine reported tonnages and are not official tonnages,
which may include inventory adjustments.
