Areas treated included, but were not limited to: <br />- Roadsides (main entry road, all roads on the plateau azea south and west of the road leading to <br />the 7-North Angle Well, and portions of the main entry roads in both the east and west mine <br />facilities areas) <br />- Refuse Pile area <br />- No. 9 Mine Shop azea <br />- Areas in and surrounding the west Mine Facilities area (i.e. Water Treatment Ponds, <br />Offce/Warehouse, Bathhouse, Coal Handling Facilities, Railroad Spur, Wastewater Treatment <br />areas, and yard areas) <br />- The open meadow to the north of the reclaimed Mine No. 4 portals <br />In the fall, BTU Mine Environmental Staff also cut and treated Tamarisk along in the vicinity of the water <br />treatment ponds and sewage lagoons, and in the southern portion of the property (over an area of roughly <br />20 acres) located adjacent to agricultural lands. <br />Three lowland hay meadows (south of the stacking tube, north of the water treatment ponds, and west of <br />the railroad) were hayed during the year. BTU Empire is working with a local rancher to contract <br />agricultural cropping activities for restoration of several disturbed areas where low cover values and <br />weed/rodent infestations are a concern. <br />Attached are copies of the standard form (CDRMS) Annual Reclamation Report for 2006.
