,;; •`~ J
3.1.4 Proposed 2001 Activities and Schedule ,~
~,
Processing
White River Nahcolite Minerals anticipates production of approximately~ons of
product in 2001 from cavities 1A, 3A, and 4A and the addition of more cross lateral
vertical injection/recovery wells similar to 4A-6V. Continuous production and additional
"debottlenecking" projects are planned for the plant. These include upgrades to the
automatic valve system, replacement of TFF blower unit, metal detection on super sack
and truck load out lines. The belt conveyor to the truck load out could be replaced to
increase the capacity. Anew cooling tower will be purchased and installed to work in
parallel with the present cooling tower. An additional pipe line may be installed from
the south end of the field to decrease flow restrictions to the plant. Installation of a
new air dryer will be completed and utilized. Anew wash water sump pump will be
installed to reduce solids lost to process pond. Efforts to increase the output
temperature to the mine will continue through optimization of the plant boilers and
possible replacement of "temporary" or outside boilers.

Projects to upgrade the food safety of our product will be initiated on an ongoing basis.
As food safety issues are identified, either through White River Nahcolite Minerals'
sanitation audits or through the audits of our customers, they will be evaluated and
corrections made as needed.
8
