This water was utilized for filling ponds, dust control, <br /> concrete production, drilling and reclamation activities. <br />2.2.2 Developments <br />NaTec received BLM approval and has completed first <br />dual/horizontal well pair NaTec 26-88-1 and NaTec 26-90-5. A <br />monitoring plan has been submitted but not approved. (In 1989 the <br />BLM District Manager stated that pilot operations were to be <br />conducted in accordance with April, 1988 Monitoring Plan.) A <br />meeting scheduled for December, 1990 with BLM hydrologist is <br />expected to finalize conditions of approval of the hydrology plan. <br />A mine plan was submitted to the BLM December 11, 1990. When <br />• conditions of approval for the hydrology plan are finalized, and <br />with at least 30 days review of the mine plan, NaTec plans to <br />start solution mining process approximately January 21, 1991. <br />2.3 Acres Disturbed and Reclaimed <br />2.3.1 Summary of 1990 Disturbance <br />In May, 1990 NaTec started site clearance and "dirt work" for <br />process area of mine facilities. Approximately 33.5 acres were <br />cleared and disturbed. Activity associated with construction of <br />water supply and monitoring wells caused disturbance of 6.3 acres. <br />A production pipeline from well Na26-90-5 and Na26-88-1, and water <br />supply pipeline from Na26-90-1 to the plant facilities disturbed <br />• <br />20 <br />
