The red lines on Stages 2 - PART B and E show the approximate locations of the working faces. The arrows show the direction of mining next year. Additional stripping will be done ahead of the working face. (2) Sloping is complete on the 6.26 acres ± around parts of the lake in Phase 2 - PART A (green). The blue cross hatched areas show where we have material stored to create slopes in Stages 2 - PART A & B. Only the final grading is necessary on these areas. Topsoil stockpiles have been placed along the tops of these slopes for recoiling when they are com- plete. Sloping is complete on 1470 Peet on the south side of Stages B, C, and D (green). Reclamation is complete in the 20.0 acre area in Stage 4 - PART B where borrow material was removed. The area was seeded during the spring of 2005. It is too early to assess the success of revegetation at this time and we continue to monitor the area. If needed, additional seeding will be done next year. This area will eventually be mined. We may request a bond reduction for this area since all grading, shaping and recoiling is complete. There is approximately 35,000 cy of overburden stored in Phase 2 - PARTS A, & B & Phase D that will be used on the alpha stages and in Phase 2 - PART A as needed (orange). These piles are in a constant state of flux as areas are stripped and recoiled. In addition, inert materials are being removed from the floor of the mined areas to supple- ment material needed for sloping. The settling pond is still being used to clean process water (tan). The stock- piles on the lake bottom in Phase 2 - PART A will be removed or leveled as needed. The access corridor is being utilized to cross the highway when material from the mined area is moved to the plant (heavy blue line). Technical Revision #2 was approved 1/19/05 regarding revegetation on Phases X, Y, & 1. These area were prepared and seeded per the approved plan in the fall of 2004. The site was inspected by Mr. Shuey on 7/13/05. He indicated that revegetation is progressing favorably. We continue to monitor the work done to date and some remedial work may be need in the future. Weed control continued this year on the area around the active mine and on the area around Phase 1. We sprayed Knapweed and White Top on April 15, 21, May 19, 23 & 24, and June 7 & 8, 2005 with water soluble 2-4-D and Curtail'. It appears that spraying is finally beginning to have positive results against the Knapweed and White Top. This is still
