Permittee: WHITEWATER BUILDING MATERIALS CORP. PAGE 3
Pernik #: M-77-129
Operation Name: WHITEWATER 500 PIT
Anniversary Date: 09/22105
an uphill battle since there is little or no control taking
place on properties surrounding the mine and seed is being
wind blown in from offsite areas that we have no control
over. Spraying will continue as needed. The U.S. Fish and
Wildlife Service will not let us spray within 10 feet of the
lake in Phase 1. Voluntary Tamarisk control will begin this
fall in Phase 1 that was flooded this spring.
(3) Mining will continue on the north end of Stage 2 - PART B
this year working to the south. In Stage E the mine face
will move to the east entering Stage F. If more area is
needed, we will resume stripping ahead of the mining face in
both stages where mining is taking place. The operator will
continue to stockpile growth medium along the perimeters of
the mined area so when sloping is done it can be respread.
(4) A revised weed control plan was approved as Technical Revi-
sion #3 on 4/26/05 that addresses noxious weed control
including Knapweed, White Top, Russian Olive and Tamarisk.
This plan will be followed as mining progresses. Bank
sloping and grading will continue in Phase 2 - PARTS A & B
that are left to be shaped (blue cross hatch). We will
continue to assist the Bureau of Land Management on
revegetating the land they now control around and including
Phase 1.
(5) The current contact for this pit is:
Mr. Mark Gardner (970) 242-7538
Whitewater Building Materials Corp.
940 South 10th Street
Grand Junction, CO 81502
The annual report date is September 22, 2005
tive date of all information is September 2, 2005.
contains the Annual Report Map, and the Annual Fee
Respectfully Submitted,
Whitewater Building Materials Corp.
~<~/~-'
Edward Ga~~~a~~
Vice President
cc Whitewater Building Materials Corp.
file
and the effec-
This packet
check.
F:~500.05
