Mississippi Avenue
Lakewooo. Colorado 80226 U.S.A.
let (3D3)936-6254
Telex 45-885 TAS DVR
July 25, 1984
As you requested. Mr. Rob Dorey of SRK made an inspection of the waste
dump at the Pitch Mine on July 16, 1984. This letter is to document the
observations made during the inspection and to record the conclusions
discussed with you and the Pitch Mine personnel.
The inspection was made iri the company of Dave Hyatt and Patti Andrews
of Homestake.
10800 Level
The planned regrading of the surface of the dump appears to be adequate.
This dump has been inactive for some time. Drainage of the dump surface should
be completed by filling in the existing gully between the natural slope and
the dump. Care should be taken at the western edge of the dump where drainage
would discharge to maintain a stable channel. This could be achieved by
working any oversize material to the edge of the dump.
Denver Vancouver Johannesburg
London
