Disassembly of the shop for removal was
taking place. It is recommended, if possible, that a final measurement of
settlement be taken prior to regrading of the shop area. The settlement record
of this dump can be anticipated to be similar to that of the other dumps and
will be of use in predicting long-term dump deformations.
10600 Level
The area of the dump which was regraded in 1983 has developed a mildly
undulating surface due to localized settlement. The resulting topography
appears to be very favorable in terms of reclamation.
The western portion of the dump appears to slope towards the dump crest
and a significant erosion gully has developed in the dump face. Regrading to
backslope this area of the dump to prevent concentration of runoff into the
existing gully should be performed.
Upper Low Grade Ore Stockpile
The drainage around the upper low-grade ore stockpile should be improved
to prevent ail but direct precipitation from entering this area. The existing
berms around the stockpile should be worked to provide an improved diversion
