<br />12.4.6.3.2 Urinalysis results exceeding 15 ug/1 shall be <br />reported to the Fadiation Safety Officer within <br />20 days of specimen collection. <br />12.4.6.3.3 Urinalysis results exceeding 30 ug/1 and/or <br />in-vivo results exceeding 16 nCi shall be <br />reported to the Fadiation Safety Officer by <br />telephone. <br />Prevention of specimen contamination shall be in <br />accordance with Section C.6 of USNRC Regulatory <br />Guide 8.22. <br />12.4.6.3.4 The licensee shall implement a documented quality <br />control program for urine specimens that includes <br />background samples, blanks, and spikes and also <br />criteria for requiring repeat collection and <br />analysis. <br />12.4.6.3.5 A baseline urine sample shall be obtained from <br />any new worker, who will be subject to <br />urinalysis, prior to start of work. <br />12.4.6.4 In-vivo Measurements <br />Annual in-vivo measurements are necessary for all <br />workers routinely exposed to airborne uranium ore <br />dust. Baseline bioassays should be performed <br />prior to initial assignments for such work. <br />Bioassays shall also be performed if there is any <br />reason to suspect an inhalation exposure to ore <br />dust exceeding 520 x 10-10 uCi-hr/ml in a <br />period of ohe calerrlar quarter. <br />Baseline in-vivo measurements shall be performed <br />on all new workers who will be subject to in-vivo <br />counting the first time the in-vivo counter is <br />available. The licensee shall make a formal <br />documented evaluation if any in-vivo thorax <br />measurement exceeds 16 nCi. <br />12.4.7 FACILITIES AIR SAMPLING <br />The licensee shall conduct an air sampling <br />.program to assess airborne radioactivity <br />concentrations within the licensed facilities to <br />which employees may be exposed, as follows: <br />VII -17- <br />
