<br />12.3.6.5 Protective Clothing <br />Respirators, gloves, boots, coveralls, helmets, <br />goggles and other protective items shall be used <br />at all times in areas or activities where <br />designated by the Radiation Safety Officer. <br />12.3.7 TRANSFER OF [~TERSAIS <br />12.3.7.1 Transfer of Contaminated Items <br />The licensee Shall release equipment, packages <br />(including product) or materials from controlled <br />areas for repair, reuse, resale or disposal only <br />after documented radioactive decontamination <br />meeting the requirements of the Department. <br />(see Annex C to this section) <br />12.4 INSPE~I'ICN AND TKNITOP,ING PId7GFAr1 <br />12.4.1 RY]CORDS <br />The results of sampling, analyses, surveys, aryl <br />instrument calibrations, inspections and audits, <br />employee training, as well as any related <br />reviews, investigations, and corrective actions <br />shall be documented. All such documentation <br />shall be retained as required by Department <br />policies or until other disposition is authorized <br />b~+ the Department, but in no case less than five <br />years. Personnel exposure records shall be <br />preserved indefinitely. <br />12.4.2 IY~TA HANDLING <br />12.4.2.1 The licensee shall use the lower limits of <br />detection prescribed in USN1~ Reg. Guide 4.14 <br />unless otherwise approved in the Procedures <br />Nanual required by IC 12.1.7, (see Annex B to <br />this Section) <br />12.4.2.2 The licensee shall report date, type, and <br />location for each analytical result, including <br />the magnitude of the random error of analysis to <br />the 95 percent confidence level. <br />VII -14- <br />
