s <br />12.3.2.2.2 <br />12.3.2.3 <br />12.3.2.3.1 <br />12.3.2.3.2 <br />Mitigation of Impact <br />The licensee shall provide to the Department an <br />acceptable plan of action to eliminate or <br />effectively control the effects of any unexpected <br />harmful event or irreversible damage detected <br />during operation and not otherwise identified in <br />references or license conditions. <br />Effluent arri Waste Controls <br />Air Emissions <br />Air emissions if any from the crushing, sorting <br />or water treatment operations shall be controlled <br />in accordance with applicable permits and <br />referenced docwnents. <br />Liquid Discharge <br />.1 There shall be no significant radioactive liquid <br />discharge from the licensed facilities other than <br />that authorized by applicable permits. Surface <br />run off £rom the ore crusher-sorter, and water <br />treatment areas shall be contained. <br />.2 All major tanks and sumps shall have level <br />controllers and alarms, Emergency catchment <br />basins shall have alarms. <br />12.3.2.3.3 Failure of Control Equipment <br />Operations shall be immediately suspended in the <br />affected areas of the licensed facilities if any <br />of the emission control equipment is <br />inoperative. Operations may not be restarted <br />after cessation due to off normal.performatice <br />until .needed corrective actions have been <br />identified and implemented. All such cessations, <br />corrective actions, and restarts shall be <br />reported to the Department in writing, within 10 <br />days of the subsequent restart. <br />VII -10- <br />
