. ~ s <br />12.3.2.3.4 Facility Trash <br />.1 Radioactive or toxic materials, including <br />construction, operating and decommissioning waste <br />generated by lice~sQd operations which have <br />become contaminated above levels specified in <br />Department Guidelines .may be disposed of only in <br />an area and in a manner approved by the <br />Department. <br />2 Non-contaminated trash may be disposed of only in <br />accordance with state and local regulations in an <br />area designated to receive such material. <br />12.3.3 CCMPI,IANCE WITH CRITERIA FOR OFF-SITE DOSE <br />LIMITATIONS <br />12.3.3.1 The licensee shall conduct operations in such a <br />manner as to provide reasonable assurance that <br />the annual radiation dose equivalent of 25 <br />millirems to the whole body, 75 millirems to the <br />thyroid, and 25 millirems to any other organ of <br />any memt~es of the public is not exceeded as the <br />result of exposures to planned dischazges of <br />radioactive materials, radon and its progeny <br />excepted, to the general environment. <br />12.3.3.2 Dose evaluation using site specific input <br />parameters shall be completed using procedures <br />delineated in The Procedures Manual required by <br />LC 12.1.7. The tables are referenced in <br />LC 10.1.4 to allay rapid dose calculational <br />assessment of environmental monitoring data fcQ <br />all pathways. <br />12.3.3.3 This license condition incorporates by reference <br />the requirements of 40.CFR 190 as in effect at <br />the time of licensure, to the extent they aze <br />more stringent than 12.3.3.1. <br />12.3.3.4 Sources Other Than Authorized By This License <br />The licensee's compliance assessment shall refer <br />to details of regional natural radiation <br />background and of radiation dose commitments from <br />past and/or present uranium fuel cycle operations <br />within a 3 (5 km) mile radius which have contrib- <br />uted or could contribute to radiation dose <br />camnitments above that of natural radiation <br />background. <br />VII -11- <br />
