Page 2.
lnnval Report
Laver Eaat Pit A~77-572
Yalco Inc.
Board no longer desired to purchase this property
as a possible water well recharging pond for their
poxer plant. Therefore, the uncertainty of this
situation, xhich has been preaent for the poet
several years, has now been nettled. The Utilities
Board had requested we not elope the banks because
it would decrease the volume of water the ponds could
hold should they decide to use it for their intended
purpose. Bowever, in February and March of 1983 ve
conducted sows testing and found there is a consider-
able mount of mineable material remaining in Stage BL
Part I, Stage 0 Psrt I, and Stage 0 Part II. All oi'
This material ie underwater at the preaent time but
is recoverable. We hnve detenined that xe will
excavate this material, probably beginning in late
1983 or early 1984. lie estivate there ie enough
material remiaaing in these etagea to continue wining
for another five or aiz years, depending oa the market
demand. Therefore, to preform atop further reclamation
.~. `• in these affected stages at this time xould only
require the reclamation to be repeated again upon
completion of the wining of those areas.
7. We estimate approximately 1.5 acres will be affected
by mining in 198j-84, (See Map ~1. for location.)
8. The effective date of thin inforsntion is March 21,
1983. The Annual Report date is March 22, 1983.
Please find a check enclosed for the amount of $350.00 to cover the
Annual Report fee.
In response to the Inspection Report of Mark Loye, dated November 11,
1981, a~ the Inspection Report of Bradford Jnnee, dated February 9,
1983, the following narrative is offered is an attempt to address
their observations nad recommendations.
LOPE INSPECTION RSPOAT RESPONSE
All items oa hie report were diecueaed with hir in a meeting
at the Division office on December 21, 1981. We will attempt
to responed to them again.
1. It ie difficult to submit a plan to the Division
office for total or partial reclasation of this
Bite that considers current conditions because
there are several uncertain situations that prevail.
We are not trying to avoid our responsibility for
keclamntion, xhen in fact we feel it is good, but
ve do not want to hnve to reclaim the aeme piece of
land several times over ~uat for the Bake of showing
