• gage at its adjacent Seneca II Nine. Data fox this year are included on Table 1. A
summary of all data collected at that station is provided here in Table 2.
The Seneca II precipitation gage measured 18.81 inches this yeaz. This value is 0.61
inches (36) less than the 1981-1999 average.
Data £rom the National Climatic Data Center £ot the Hayden Station was used to evaluate
the precipitation trend. For this yeaz, 18.74 inches oP precipitation rae measured, which
was 1.90 inches (llk) greater than the 1961-1990 avataga. All months but November,
December, Narch, and September were above average. 9norpack runoff, as estimated by
totaling November through April precipitation values, was 8.51 inches, which vas 0.10
inches (lYl above the 1961-1990 average.
Ground Water
watez Levels. Table 3 provides a summary ofground water monitoring si tea at the Yoast
Mine. Water level data are provided in Appendix B. Water level repor to for this year are
presented immediately after the water level hydrograph of all data since 1991. water
' level measuramenta axe collected with an electrical rater level indicator or n steel tape.
ereeeure readings (in psi) obtained from floring cells rith pressure gages aze multiplied
by 2,31 to obtain head in feet. The torten[ ground watez monitoring program is presented
in Table 15-8 of the Yoaet Mine PAP.
- Alluvium. One cell, YAAL14, monitors the Armand Drar alluvium, Four wells, YGAL15 to
18, monitor the Grassy Creek alluvium. Nina calla: Y9AL1 to 6, 8, 30 and 12; monitor the
Saga Creek alluvium. Moat cell rater levels exhibit the typical seasonal fluctuation,
increasing water levels in the spring follored by deczeasing rater levels in the summer
and fall. Most wells exhibited rater levels this yeaz rithin their historic ranges.
Nelle YSAL3, 4, and 5 exhibited summer and fall rater levels lorez than ever observed.
This is likely due to the draining of the adjacent Pond Y1 prior to its raconatruction ae
Pond 012. Ground rater levels at these wells should return to normal after this pond
refills next yeaz.
- t.ennox Overburden. Two walla, YLOV3 and 4, monitor the Leru~ox overburden in the Saga
Creek basin. Both calla rare floring and fitted rith pressure gagea. Pressure
•
3
