i 1 <br />1.3 DeCmitions <br />' The following definitions apply to these Specifications. <br />1 a. "Owner" is defined as an authorized representative of Battle Mountain Resources, Inc.; <br />b. "Construction Manager" is defined as an authorized representative of the Owner <br />responsible for coordinating the activities of the Contractor; <br />c. "Quality Assurance Engineer" is defined as a qualified representative appointed and <br />authorized by the Owner to monitor the quality of the completed construction product; <br />' d. "Design Engineer" is defined as an authorized representative of the Owner, currently <br />holding valid professional registration in Colorado, who has designed the facilities to be <br />constructed and prepared the plans and specifications; <br />e. "Contractor" is defined as the party or parties which have a contract agreement with the <br />' Owner and perform the actual construction activities. <br />f. "Specifications" is defined as this document of technical specifications prepared by <br />Steffen Robertson and ICirsten (U.S.), Inc. for the Battle Mountain Resources, Inc., San <br />Luis Project dated June 1993; and <br />' g. "Drawings" is defined as the drawings in conjunction with these Specifcations titled, <br />' "Battle Mountain Resources, [nc. , San Luis Project Technical Specifications for Synthetic <br />Liner Installation" and is numbered SRK As-Built Drawing No. 14711-1O5A. <br />1.4 Applicable Codes and Regulations <br />' The work shall conform to applicable Federal, State, County, and local regulations. Test <br />procedures shall conform to applicable ASTM standazds, as documented in the edition of the <br />standards in force at the start of work. Liner material and installation shall, where not <br />' specifically covered in these Specifications, be to a minimum of that specified in National <br />Sanitation Foundation Publication No. 54 (NSF54). <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />•z- <br /> <br />
