Neddle and Thread grass seed was not <br />available this year so Indian Ricegrass was substituted. <br />5 <br />The type and approximate quantity of fertilizers, <br />organic material, or soil conditioners used and location <br />of use. <br />Location: Fill slope East of load-out bins. <br />Fertilizers: 350 ]bs per acre of 18-46-0 <br />Organic Material: Approximately 900 cubic yards of well <br />rotted manure was mixed with <br />approximately 900 cubic yards of <br />"growth medium". This was used as <br />topsoil and the quantity was <br />sufficient to cover the slope 12 to <br />18 inches deep. <br />Mulch: Straw was applied at a rate of 2 tons/Ac. and <br />was tacked into place with Terra Tac at double <br />the normal rate. Netting was used at the top of <br />the slope to hold the straw in place. <br />
