• Anew cavity will only be drilled in 1998, if any of the current cavities fail or become
contaminated with chlorides. An additional cavity would be an extension of cavity #2 to the
south or cavity #4 expanded to the north or south. No recompletion work is planned for
1988. During 1988, there are no plans for major rework activity on the existing wells.
Cavity #1 A will inject at the 130 foot lease boundary when put into service. Replacement or
service of submersible pumps will be performed as needed. All current recovery wells
were directional drilled, therefore no sonar surveys are planned in 1998.
4.0 1997 PROJECT ACTIVITIES
4.1 On-Site Facilities and Process Description
• 4.1.1 General Arrangement
Figure 2-1 illustrates location of project leases, mining panel #1, monitoring wells, access road
and associated utility lines.
4.1.2 Plant Modifications
Major plant modifications in 1997 included the addition of a second rental bailer which was
consolidated with the first to increase mine injection temperature.
