c. Monitoring wells WRN 97-BG1 and WRN 97-DS2 were drilled at the southern
edge of the lease during 1997 and will be used to monitor the production cavities on the
southern boundary.
d. WRN 2B-3C was drilled as a core hole in 1997 prior to drilling the production
wells for cavity #3A.
e. The recovery well for cavity #4 was sonar surveyed in February, 1997.
f. As a result of roof caving and/or shift in cavity #4, a liner screen was installed in
WRN 4A-4V to resume recovery flows.
g. WRN 1A-5HR was drilled during 1997. The horizontal well will be the recovery
well for cavity #1A. The original plan called for the drilling and development of cavity #2B,
• problems encountered during drilling forced the target to be moved to correspond to cavity
#1A.
h. WRN 1A-4H1 was spudded in 1997 and was being drilled at year end as a
horizontal injection well for cavity #1A.
I. A second rental boiler was added to increase the injection temperature to the
producing cavities.
J. During 1997, 69,048 tons of sodium bicarbonate were produced by White River
Nahcolite. No significant chloride problems have been noted in cavities #3A or 4.
•
8
