<br />• MDNE-1 7txated on the Purgatoire River at the mine vrater discharge of the <br />New Elk Mine. The station was established to monitor the quality <br />and quantity of mine water discharge fran the New Elk Mine. <br />CC.S-1 Located in Ciruela Canyon above the point of Golden Eagle Mine <br />water discharge. The station was established to monitor baseline <br />conditions above the discharge point. <br />CCS-2 Located in Ciruela Canyon belay the point of Golden Eagle Mine <br />water dis~`ha*'ge just above the confluence with the Purgatoire <br />River. The station was established to assess potential effects of <br />mine water discharge and the existing and proposed coal refuse <br />disposal area in Ciruela Canyon. <br />SCF-1 Located in Santistevan Canyon on the north side of State Highway <br />12. Established a stream flume to assess potential effects of <br />secondary or retreat m; Wing on stream quality and flea. This <br />• station is currently inactive as per Q°II~RD approval. <br />ACF-1 Located in Apache Canyon approximately one-half mile fran the <br />confluence with the Purgatoire river. Established a stream flume <br />to assess potential effects of secondary or retreat mining on <br />stream quality and flow. This station is currently inactive as <br />per CMLRD approval. <br />PAW-1 Alluvial well located in the Purgatoire Alluvium adjacent to PRS- <br />1. Established to monitor water quality above the existing coal <br />refuse pile. <br />PAW-2 Alluvial well located adjacent to the Purgatoire River <br />approximately 2(d0 yards downstream of PAW-1. Established to <br />monitor water quality dawn gradient fran the existing coal refuse <br />pile. <br />• <br />
