~.3 Product Storage at East Branch <br />• Chemicals: Petroleum products. antifreeze. <br />Description: Products associated with this facility will be used for the management and <br />maintenance of mobile equipment. <br />Location: West of East Branch Reservoir. <br />Spill Potential: Low due to the presence of contairunent. Loading activities have slightly greater <br />spill potential <br />Potential Volume Spilled: Spill potential is up to 300 gallons. <br />Prevention and Control: Containment with dimensions of equal to greater than 110% of the <br />taril:er volume has been constructed for ASI product storage. The azea is sicre3 and has <br />appropriate fire protection. Spill kits aze located at the facilities. <br />Countermeasures: (1) Avoid mixing products. (2) Contain the liquid spill with sorbent booms <br />or pillows if possible. ~Iop up with floor drv if a small quantity is spilled. (3) Diking may be <br />required although existins bermed containment will keep the liquid in the storage at'ea. (4) <br />. Maintain iviSDS sheets for all products. (d) Dike or berm existing drainage to prevent product <br />entry into the East Branch Reservoir (6) Keep containment structures free of excessive water <br />volume and stormwater. (i) manage all petroleum contaminated soil per according to directions <br />of the site environmental contac[s. <br />nearest Clean-up Equipment: Clean-up equipment is maintained at the portal maintenance <br />azea. The project has a number of pieces of mobile equipment available to respond to a spill. <br />iVlonitorine: Checks aze performed weekly.
