5.~ Mobile and Portable Products <br />5.1.1 Henderson Mill Policv for portable Tank storage <br />Location: Portable tank(s) will be located in a place convenient to project need:;. <br />Spill Potential: Moderate. <br />Potential Spill Volume: The potential spill volume is variable based upon the size of the <br />ponable tank. <br />Prevention and Control: The containment structure will . ~ : ::'•. '~ contain 1 IC~% of tl:~ <br />capacity of the portable tank. <br />Countermeasures: If a spill of petroleum products occurs outside the containntt:nt area, sorbent <br />booms may be used to dike and contain the spill. Soiled booms and contaminated soil should be <br />scooped up and placed in a container for transport to and disposal in the an area designated by <br />the Environmental Coordinator. <br />nearest Clean-up Equipment: T~vo portable spill kits aze available at containment structures at <br />East Branch Reservoir and the Henderson Portal. <br />Monitoring: During tug, the poaable tanks will be visually checked on a weekly basis and <br />• inspected monthly. When the tanks aze not in use, they will be checked monthly ;tnd inspected <br />semi-annually. <br />Reporting: In the event that waters of the United States aze threatened by a spill from a portable <br />tank, contact the Environmental Coordinator. To report a spill of any kind, fill out the Spill <br />Incident Report form found in :appendix 1 of the SPCC located at the ~-ples and trill offices. <br />5.x.1 Mobile Equipment tanks <br />Chemicals: Petroleum Products. used oil, antifreeze. <br />Description: These products aze carried in small quantities on pickup trucks (for mobile <br />equipment titeling) and on lubrication trucks (for mobile equipment servicing). Form oil and <br />Concrete Cure will be used for concrete pours and will remain mobil products on ~;ite. <br />Location: Varies. <br />Spill Potential: vloderate.
